Single Tube Gas Shock Absorber
The amount of nitrogen in the single tube gas shock absorber should be 25-30 bars to keep the pressure high. There is a floating piston which stops the nitrogen gas from combining with the oil. Once the oil is displaced, it will travel to the nitrogen and get compressed further. The piston valves will work quietly and quickly due to the oil being pressurized by the gas. While everything is working, any possible foam will be eliminated at the same time.

Twin Tube Gas Shock Absorber
The amount of nitrogen that should be used with a twin tube gas shock absorber is 2.5-5 bars. This will keep the absorber working at low pressure. This is enough pressure to make the twin tube absorber more effective than the single tube absorber is. Within the reserve tube, nitrogen replaces air and works at low pressure. The way the twin tube gas shock absorber is designed allows it to work very efficiently and will provide your vehicle with a smoother ride and great steering.

Ultimately, gas shocks are a great way to keep a reliable suspension system and allow your vehicle to drive smoothly. This is definitely an advancement from the traditional shocks and should be incorporated with any newer vehicles or when restoring an older vehicle. The twin tube gas shock absorber, which works at low pressure, is definitely the better of the two absorbers, but both are reliable.
